Manhattan Rickshaw Company has a fleet of pedicabs (three-wheeled, pedal-powered vehicles with a twopassenger seat) operated by licensed drivers. Pricing varies with the type of event and the distance that needs to be traveled. For example, to have drivers shuttle guests 10 blocks in the theater district, the rate is around $25 per hour.
Mid-Price
Hub Connection has a selection of vintage vehicles, including a 1968 Mack Ladder fire truck, for between $125 and $175 per hour (with a three-hour minimum and a 20-percent service charge, driver included). Groups might consider limo buses (pictured)—40-seat automobiles with leather interiors and TVs—which cost between $150 and $265 per hour plus a 20-percent service fee.
Splurge
How about a horse-drawn carriage ride? Chateau Stables has rented a collection of original and antique wagons, carriages, and sleighs, for $1,250 to $1,750 for three hours. The company’s original pieces cost a little more: the Brewster C-Spring Victoria (once owned by Andrew Carnegie) costs around $2,000, and original Wells Fargo stage coaches start at $3,000. The longer wagonettes (pictured) can hold 20 passengers for between $1,450 and $1,550 for three hours.
