Never a magazine to shy away from big-scale special events, Maxim spent all of last weekend at the Wynn in Las Vegas celebrating its 100th issue. Festivities included a poker tournament sponsored by LG, a golf invitational capped off with a 19th-hole happy hour, and—for the finale—a blowout party at Wynn’s new nightclub, Tryst. L.A.-based BNC handled PR.
In other Vegas news, the Academy of Country Music announced last week that Reba McEntire will host the 41st annual Academy of Country Music awards—not to be confused with the Country Music Association’s Country Music Awards, which left Nashville for New York last year. The ceremony will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand on May 23.
