Blowupthings\' new light bulb-shaped illuminated sculpture

Blowupthings, the U.K.-based firm that designs, manufactures, and rents inflatable structures, has just launched a new illuminated light bulb-shaped sculpture equipped with an internal LED system. The whimsical, old-school shape of an incandescent bulb makes for a suitable reference point at trade shows, whether it be on the convention floor, to signify a section with new products or ideas, or perhaps for an area with educational sessions. (We'll leave you to come up with a clever variation on a "bright ideas" theme.) Each bulb weighs 20 pounds, allowing for simple rigging. Rentals in North America start around $850 for one week. Custom-modified sculptures of other sizes, or with graphics, may be purchased.
