American Express Travel’s Fine Hotels & Resorts Event

To celebrate the newest benefits for the company’s Fine Hotels & Resorts program, American Express Travel held an event on May 30 at the Beekman hotel in New York. The name of the program and cities with hotels where card members can use their benefits were displayed in a blue bookshelf installation. Momentum Worldwide produced the event.

Starz “Vida” Premiere

The season two premiere of the Starz series Vida took place in May at Regal Cinemas at L.A. Live. Event decor included giant Lotería cards—a traditional Mexican card game similar to bingo—that had illustrations of the show’s characters. Other design elements were inspired by the show’s Mexican-American themes and Eastside Los Angeles setting. The event was produced by Starz’s events team in partnership with the Cashmere Agency.

Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

The 12th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic took place June 1 at Liberty State Park. The event featured a bar painted in the champagne brand’s yellow-orange color, backed by a hedge wall decorated with champagne bottles and a variety of orange, yellow, and red flowers. Servers wore branded hats and orange aprons. Veuve Clicquot partnered with Overland Entertainment to design the event.

Collision

The sixth annual Collision tech conference took place at the Enercare Centre in Toronto in May, marking the first time the event happened in Canada. Several "What Do You Think" structures on the conference floor asked guests questions on everything from monthly budgets and social media to work-life balance and A.I. Collision

Canadian interbank network Interac featured a lounge created with bands of hanging fabric in the company's shade of yellow. Inside the lounge, tables, chairs, and charging stations were provided for impromptu meetings. In another space, Interac employees gave demos of the brand's technology and services. Guy Fieri’s Walk of Fame Celebration

Chef and TV host Guy Fieri’s Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony took place in May. The post-ceremony reception, which was hosted by the Food Network, took place at the Hollywood Palladium. Chad Hudson Events designed and produced the event, which featured an all-black, wheel-covered step-and-repeat inspired by Fieri's love of cars. Robin Hood Benefit

The Robin Hood Foundation’s annual benefit, themed “Robin Hood to the Power of You,” took place in May at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The entrance featured a tunnel of 7,000 backpacks arranged in colorful rows. The backpacks were filled with school supplies and were donated following the event. David Dobrik “Clickbait” Pop-Up

YouTuber David Dobrik held a two-day pop-up for fans in May. The event, which launched Dobrik’s “Clickbait” merchandise line with apparel brand Fanjoy, took place in New York’s TriBeCa neighborhood at 368 Broadway, a three-level space owned by another popular vlogger and YouTube personality, Casey Neistat. The pop-up featured a partnership with ticket search engine site SeatGeek that included toy sports cars on display, as a nod to Dobrik’s designer car vlog moments, along with a raffle.
