Local event planning, destination management, and technology company Eved Services won a Stevie Award at the 6th annual American Business Awards held in New York on June 12. Awarded the title of Best Overall Company Under 100 Employees, Eved Services beat out 17 finalists in various industries from across the country. Business professionals nationwide chose the finalists during preliminary judging that took place in April and May, and the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors selected the Stevie winners. (The awards get their moniker from the name Stephen, which is derived from the Greek word for "crowned.")The awards ceremony took place at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Fox Business Network anchor Cheryl Casone hosted the event, broadcasted nationwide by the Business TalkRadio Network. More than 650 guests attended the awards ceremony, which honored companies in 40 categories, including Best Executive and Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program.
