Fork and the Road specializes in group bike tours that crawl through a variety of Chicago neighborhoods, stopping at a series of themed eateries. The Sweet Home Chicago tour, for example, explores bakeries and ice cream parlors; the Stuffed tour hits ethnic restaurants that offer filled pastries such as empanadas and samosas. Other possible themes include local vegetarian and international barbecue; customized tours are also an option. Each outing costs from $50 to $75 per person, caters to groups with as many as 15 guests, and typically lasts three-and-a-half to five hours. Most tours start near downtown's Bike Chicago, which has group rates on rentals; participants are also welcome to bring their own bikes.
