1. TREASURE HUNT BY SONDHEIM: A fund-raiser for Friends in Deed on Monday night had celebrities and donors searching New York's Museum of Natural History for clues in a treasure hunt devised by Broadway legend Stephen Sondheim. New York mag: "[T]he hunt consisted of twelve clues, some visual, some verbal, printed on cards...A section in the instructions labeled 'Advice' included the following tidbits: - 'Don’t concentrate on only one clue at a time. Allow for serendipity.' - 'Don’t use Google. It is not as helpful as you think, and it is cheating.'...At about 8 p.m., Sarah Jessica Parker ran right by us, shrieking, 'I got it! I got it!'"

NYT Bits blog, on the pre-show tunes: “Led Zeppelin’s ‘When the Levee Breaks’ is playing. Prior to that, it was the Rolling Stones and ‘Under My Thumb.’ Get it? Thumb? Oh, Apple — you so funny.
