The School of the Art Institute of Chicago will host "The Walk," a fashion show displaying student designs, in Millennium Park on Thursday. Swarovski is a major partner of the event and has donated scholarship funds, jewels for the students to incorporate into their designs, andโ€”as of Tuesdayโ€”window space aimed at promoting the show.

At a private reception held at the Michigan Avenue shop earlier this week, staffers from the school and the jewelry company unveiled a window installation created by School of the Art Institute graduates under the guidance of fashion design chair Nick Cave. Inspired by Swarovski's spring collection, the installation is an abstract flower constructed from Dimension Design fabrics and decorated with jewelry. A window decal advertises the upcoming fashion show.
