A new glass bar, additional lighting, and plenty of flower beds and plants are among the latest renovations at the recently reopened Vita Garden, the outdoor half of the four-year-old Vita Restaurant. Owned by Roberto Caan, the previous owner of Mynt Lounge and Joia Restaurant, and catered by chef Luciano Sautto, also formerly of Joia, the garden sits amid the 8,200-square-foot site, which can host as many as 200 people. Inside, a private room can host 120, and outside, the garden itself can welcome as many as 180. This uniquely Mediterranean-styled facility, which serves Italian cuisine, usually closes in September for renovations, since a good chunk of the venue is a garden. Caan says he has big restaurant changes in mind for later this year, but has yet to disclose any details.
