Supplier Web Site Gives Planners More Control and More Options

Inventory woes and disorganized warehouse tours are no more for Over the Top Rental Party Linens, the Fort Lauderdale-based rental company, as they just revealed a new Web site this month. The site (www.overthetopinc.com) features the company's entire inventory (all up-to-date) of more than 750 items, in every available size, shape, and color.

Additionally, the Linen Showcase tool lets designers create their favorite items and color schemes, share the designs with clients, and modify as necessary to the client's specifications before placing an order.

"If you want to share it with someone else, simply email it to them," says Nancy Davis, president of Over the Top. "Later, with a few clicks, you can turn your showcase into an order request, complete with all the items and counts you will require."

Company vice president Alan Eingold adds that users may create as many showcases as they would like and request color swatches 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Over the Top has also developed a mirror site called Linen Book. Eingold says planners he spoke to were concerned about their clients going directly to the rental house, and thereby eliminating the need for a planner entirely. With Linen Book, planners can show clients the different looks Over the Top offers while keeping their source confidential.

To go a step further, Over the Top designers will also work with your company to develop a fully branded Web site-also mirroring its own-featuring your company logo, to create a seamless, turnkey experience for your clients.
