On Friday night, the Miami Children's Museum welcomed its newest traveling exhibit, "Blue Man Group: Making Waves," with a special performance by the blue-faced trio. The 1,500-square-foot exhibit is designed to unite science and art, offering a playful approach using sound and multisensory exploration. The seventh stop for the national exhibit-created by the Boston Children's Museum in the fall of 2006-will stay at the Watson Island venue until February 1, with plans to continue its tour through 2011 at various children's museums throughout the country.

"We are very excited to have the 'Making Waves' exhibit return to the South Florida region," said Deborah Spiegelman, executive director of the Miami Children's Museum. "This nationally traveling exhibit uses extraordinary technology to understand and experience the science of sound, and is sure to be fun and playful for children of all ages."
