
Biltmore's Culinary Academy

The Biltmore Hotel debuted the Biltmore Culinary Academy, a new cooking school at its Coral Gables property, in February. The hotel's chefs instruct students in French, Italian, and Latin cuisines (including baking and pastry making) in the 700-square-foot kitchen within the Convention Center of the Americas. Participants are involved in all aspects of food preparation during the three-hour classes, which end with a group meal of the dishes created that day. Private classes, demonstrations, and teambuilding exercises can be arranged with your choice of chef. Eight people can cook at one time, and as many as 20 can dine at the chef's table.
