The Back to School Bash at Flamingo Park on August 19 attracted more than 800 children of all age groups and their parents to celebrate the end of summer break, just one week before school began. The Miami Beach Parks & Recreation Department hosted the free nighttime event and provided activities, carnival games, and rides. All Star Events supplied a rock climbing wall and face painting for kids with artists drawing animal, floral, and geometric designs. Local group the Miami Beach Teen Club entertained guests with music and the Miami Beach Soccer Club provided food.
