Jimmy'z nightclub at the Forge in Miami Beach was transformed into a fashion expo, when models dressed in Pucci, Vivienne Westwood, and Karl Lagerfeld lingerie walked the runway at an exclusive Miami showing of the Wolford holiday 2004 collection.
Guests walked into the venue to find an immense "W" for Wolford, made out of spray-painted foam board. White fabric covered the runway, which was raised off the ground. The crowd sipped martinis, champagne, and mojitos, courtesy of Jimmy'z. Clusters of white balloons flanked the two bars and complemented the two dancing girls' snow-white costumes. The Forge's event technicians provided video projectors so that Wolford catalog models could be shown on screens located throughout the club.
DJs Roberto Costa, Refex, and Baka Boyz kept the party going with tunes that ranged from gypsy music to the latest reggae sounds. Always fun, Adora, one of South Beach's most well-known drag queens, popped out of an enormous cake singing "Happy Birthday" to Maxwell Blandford, the Forge's event planner. (Blandford planned the event with NEL Productions' Nelson Delgado.) Popular drag queen Elaine Lancaster cohosted the event.
