The first anniversary of the Carnival Center for the Performing Arts on October 17 was a four-part evening dedicated to the theater. The event, conceptualized by createabilities, featured a musical performance, gala dinner, dessert reception, and after-party, the proceeds of which went to support various artistic, educational, and community programs at the Carnival Center for the upcoming year.
The evening began with a cocktail reception where guests mingled among the paparazzi and other eventgoers. Afterward, they made their way to the opera house where the gala dinner, catered by Restaurant Associates, was served on romantic red tablescapes. After dinner, guests made their way to the 2,500-square-foot concert hall for a performance by Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Florez. The concert was followed by a dessert reception in the lobby area featuring a mix of desserts and sweets, including coffee, tea, and select liqueurs.
The createabilities staff transformed the on-site rehearsal studio into a hot Miami nightclub for the after-party, hosted by Elaine Lancaster Inc., where guests enjoyed cocktails and canapés and danced to music spun by DJ Irie.
