What do you get when you pair the luxuries and amenities of SoBe's trendiest lounges with the undeniable beauty of South Florida's waterways? The Aqua experience! On January 9, more than 400 guests stepped aboard the 112-foot Aqua yacht, owned by Aqua Luxury Yacht and docked just outside Miami's Intercontinental Hotel, for a special aquatic experience.
Guests were treated to liquid libations compliments of Domaine Ste. Michelle Champagne, Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff Vodka, and Red Bull as they perused the yacht's two decks. DJ Shawn Rudnick spun favorites from the open-air top deck as a percussionist and saxophone player performed for guests dockside. The yacht's resident chef, Jorge Castillo, and his team prepared an array of hors d'oeuvres and tapas for the group, incorporating both surf and turf.A good choice for planners looking for a unique venue, the vessel is unlike typical party boats, like casino cruises, in that it offers the flexibility of custom decor and menu options. The floating lounge also features flat-screen televisions, an open-air dance floor, and a full-service 18- by 12-foot bar.
In honor of the opening, the company donated $10,000 in both cash and in-kind trade to the Special Olympics of Miami-Dade County.
