The Conrad Hotel brought the party to a higher level on January 25 with the opening of Level 25. The invite-only cocktail event showcased the space's multiple available rooms for dining, performances, dancing, and lounging-including a central atrium that extends past the balconies of the upper hotel levels to a glass ceiling. Several palm trees stood tall over the lounge- and banquet-style seating, as well as the long, big-city bar that overflowed with thirsty patrons all night.
Throughout the night, caterwaiters meandered amongst the crowd with a variety of tasty hors d'oeuvres, including mini crab cakes with chipotle aioli, foie gras and goat cheese empanadas, salmon ahumado, and beef tenderloins with horseradish confit. Additionally, a variety of cheeses and crackers were available. One of the venue's lounge areas also had an ice bar-topped with a Level 25 sculpture-stocked with raw oysters and several complementary sauces. Outside, on the expansive balcony, guests took in the impressive view of Biscayne Bay, while some chose to partake in the Dominican cigars hand-rolled on-site.In the space behind the bar, revelers danced to the Latin beats of the Spam All-Stars, accompanied by DJ Le Spam at the turntables, courtesy of Eleven:11 Entertainment. More savory selections were also served there, including risotto and freshly carved meats.
