Held every three years, the World Orchid Conference returned to Miami on January 23 for the first time since 1984. The five-day trade show, which took place at the Sheraton Miami Mart Hotel and Convention Center, attracted more than 100,000 attendees and featured the exotic flowers from every major orchid-growing center in the world. As the long weekend came to a close, 400 growers, hybridizers, and scientists stepped out-or rather up-at Jungle Island's Treetop Ballroom to celebrate another year.

To do so, Galaxy incorporated tropical elements such as brightly colored airbrushed backdrops and spandex palm trees that flanked the ballroom.Guests, bused in from various hotels around the city, were treated to tropical fare, compliments of Jungle Island's catering team, as they danced to Latin beats of the band Pangea, courtesy of Walker Entertainment. Additionally, performers from Glitter Productions entertained guests with dance performances throughout the night.
