Miami V.I.P.s wrapped up the long workweek with a glass of champagne and a relaxing mini facial on February 15 at the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach's spa. The hotel held the poolside cocktail party to celebrate the launch of its newest line of skin-care products, S Solutions, to be used in the spa. The new line, and services offered, focus on anti-aging techniques through cutting-edge technology.
When guests checked in, they were presented with an appointment card for their previously booked mini facial and told a spa representative would find them prior to their appointment and escort them to their treatment. While waiting, they snacked on a bevy of hors d'oeuvres provided by the hotel, including capresse injectors, cucumber ceviche cups, crispy gingered tuna spring rolls, and more, plus their choice of libation-champagne and Bellinis were the drinks of choice for many. Nuage Designs draped the cocktail tables in lime green linens with a sheer brown, sequined overlay and topped them with small, compact arrangements of green hydrangeas provided by the hotel. Additionally, S Solutions products-such as its rejuvenating and toning body paint-were also littered throughout the area with a bikini-clad model explaining how they are beneficial to the skin. When appointment times came, guests were escorted inside and down a bubble-filled hallway toward the spa. Along the way, a sushi station was set up, with a chef serving freshly prepared hand rolls and sashimi upon request. Then came the real treat: Attendees were each given a 20-minute mini facial by spa technicians using a sampling of the line's products for cleansing, moisturizing, and anti-aging.
As makeup and a facial don't mix, a cosmetics artist was on hand to touch up guests' makeup following their facials before they returned to the party. Company founder Sharon E. Perlow mingled with guests after the treatments and answered any questions they had regarding the line, including the Crucial Cleanser they took home as a gift.
