Carnival Comes to Grass

Though Carnival season technically ended on February 5, the folks at Grass Restaurant and Lounge weren't quite ready to end the celebration-so they recruited HED Productions to organize their own Carnival-inspired event on February 9. Though the afternoon rain worried some, as Grass is a predominantly outdoor space, management set up a few tents over the dance floor and gave the green light. Luckily, the weather dried up and partygoers weren't deterred.

As guests arrived, they were given green glittery masks and guided behind the foliage-covered entryway into the party. Throughout the night, bartenders served cocktails on request, including those from the evening's liquor sponsor Leblon Cachaca, complete with a green glow stick.Throughout the night, partygoers were treated to a variety of entertainment including a fire-breather from Miami Candelas, costumed dancers (complete with feathered headdresses) from Kamileon Productions, a one-man band, and the resident DJ spinning to keep the energy up. In addition, a festively dressed stiltwalker entertained, danced, and socialized with guests throughout the night.
