It was a cornucopia of culinary delights as more than 500 wine collectors, patrons of the arts, and wine and food enthusiasts gathered in the idyllic gardens at The Kampong in Coconut Grove to celebrate the site's beautiful heritage and help raise funds for its upkeep. The event was organized with the help of the American Institute of Wine and Food as a tasting odyssey, with more than 20 restaurants-including Talula, Azul, The Restaurant at the Setai, and River Oyster Bar-setting up shop in the botanical garden.A vast array of silent-auction items were handsomely displayed inside the newly renovated pavilion, with items such as rare wines, gift certificates to Miami restaurants, and gourmet baskets displayed on regal wood furnishings. A raucous live auction featured various lavish prizes including a two-night stay at Blackberry Farm in Tennessee and a seven-day Silversea cruise. Tropical music provided by the band Haole Kats added to the atmosphere.
