Wow Factor Marketing Group transformed a ballet studio at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County into an elegant venue fit for an opulent jewel display. An intimate group of 100 of Miami's elite-including celebrities, social and community leaders, and diamond brokers-attended the runway debut of Luis Felipe Perez Jewelry Designs winter 2008/spring 2009 collection on Friday night.
The Party Fashion Company draped the studio with black and white panels to camouflage the mirrors and ballet bars, while lighting from Show Resources Technology instantly created atmosphere. Gobos of the designer's logo were also projected onto the walls, floor, and 36-foot illuminated runway by So Cool Events. So Cool also suspended disk-shaped spandex lamps above the runway and seating area, adding to the sleek and elegant atmosphere that Wow wanted.
Before the show, guests sipped Champagne, sampled a variety of cheeses from around the world, and took pictures of the illuminated setup. Originally lit with purple, blue, and pink, the space changed to a fiery red for the main event as models hit the runway for a 30-minute fashion show of more than $20 million in diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and more, garnering dropped jaws from many attendees.
Restaurant Associates kept the party going after the show, serving a variety of passed hors d'oeuvres, including Asian shrimp, tuna tartare, and glittery bonbons.
