The New Hotel opened on Miami Beach's North Shore at the end of August, just one block west of the beach. Each of the boutique hotelβs 10 guest rooms (starting at $99 per night) are outfitted with eco-friendly amenities like organic cotton sheets, water-conserving showerheads and sink fixtures, and energy-efficient room key cards that cut the lights when guests exit. Additionally, each room features its own recycling system for garbage.
The Beach Market Bistro serves as the hotelβs main event space. On the 800-square-foot tiled pool deck, the eatery can seat 50 or host as many as 100 for a reception. The deck can be tented and the pool may be covered for entertainment purposes. A small six-seat bar, accented with a backdrop of mosaic tile, anchors the pool deck. For receptions, the bar can be converted into a food station or DJ booth with a built-in 32-inch flat-screen TV.
The Mediterranean eatery, which is also the exclusive caterer, serves light tapas-style dishes and sandwiches on its menu, which changes weekly. Currently only wine and beer are offered on the property, as it has yet to obtain a liquor license.
