Ideal for small to medium-sized groups, these two new lounges in Miami Beach and downtown offer an upscale setting for post-work cocktails or intimate cocktail parties.
1. Atop the Townhouse Hotel in Miami Beach, Rooftop Lounge opened in August. The 5,000-square-foot lounge can accommodate 250 for a reception with expansive city views. Seating for 80 is comprised of white wood chairs and loungers topped with gray and red cushions. There is also a communal table for 12, and catering is provided by the hotel's Bond Street Sushi restaurant.
2. In August 2009, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County announced its partnership with Bacardi U.S.A. and the construction of the Bombay Sapphire Lounge. On the ground floor of the Carnival Tower of the downtown Miami property, the 2,800-square-foot lounge is decorated in the brand's signature blue and is currently open for private events before it debuts to the public on October 19. The open layout of the lounge can host 60 inside, with an additional 50 on the Arsht Center's 1,500-square-foot Parker and Van Thomson Plaza outside.
