The Bass Museum of Art opened its new artistic classroom venue, the Lindemann Family Creativity Center, on January 29. The space, which houses the institution's "Idea@theBass" program of art classes and workshops, also doubles as the home of the Art Club for adults, lectures, film screenings, and teacher training workshops. The new site is also available for events.
The museum currently has five 7-foot-long tables within the 670-square-foot space, which also acts as a creative lab for children and adults. The room seats as many as 30 people in a classroom or workshop layout. For a luncheon or dinner, extra tables can be added to the room to accommodate more guests. The center can also be turned into a lecture, movie, or presentation setting with seating for up to 60. For cocktail receptions or art showings, the center holds 100.
The center also offers classes and workshops for those looking for a teambuilding or group activity. Admission to the museum and the Lindemann Family Creativity Center is free for Miami Beach residents.
