At Art Basel Miami Beach, even the food is a work of art. Caterers showed their creativity with sweet and savory bites at events and cocktails tied to the art fair, which wrapped up Sunday.

A chocolate sculpture of Andy Warhol was part decor, part catering at the Andy Warhol Museum and KIWI Arts Group launch of "William John Kennedy: The Warhol Museum Edition" at the Villa by Barton G. December 7.

The Warhol-inspired bites from the Villa by Barton G. included roasted Peking duck moo-shoo rolls with hoisin-marinated scallions served in mini take-out boxes adorned with Warhol's portrait of Chairman Mao Zedong. Other items included tomato gazpacho served in mini iconic Campbell's soup cans, kataifi-wrapped shrimp balls, Kobe beef sliders served on a tray of Coca-Cola bottles, tuna tartare with wakame and wasabi-ko.

A selection of popsicles from Bazaar by José Andrés at SLS Hotel South Beach served at the MCM x at60inches handbag launch December 5 came in flavors such as mango and chili, hibiscus and raspberry, Oaxaca chocolate, soursop and banana, piña colada, guava and strawberry, and key lime pie.

Rico Love Birthday Celebration

Music producer Rico Love celebrated his 30th birthday at SLS Hotel South Beach with a four-layer birthday cake from Divine Delicacies Custom Cakes. The cake, with rolled fondant, was red velvet with cream cheese, guava with cream cheese, vanilla rum, and amaretto. Its design featured notes and bars of music, Swarovski crystals, and watchmaker Hublot's logo written in white icing on a middle layer. The topper of Love's name was made from than 400 red crystals.

Veuve Clicquot and Stella McCartney High Tea

Veuve Clicquot sponsored a high tea for designer Stella McCartney at the Webster December 5. LIN Productions planned the event, and the catering from the Webster Café included mini cookies, pastries, cakes, crust-less egg salad sandwiches and cucumber sandwiches, hot tea, macaroons, and hot chocolate, as well as Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label. A centerpiece of tree branches held pink tea candies attached to the twigs by clothes pins.

Benetton South Beach Tutti Frutti Party

Fruit was art at the Benetton store reopening in South Beach. The event showcased glassware inspired by fruit colors and shapes designed by Fabrica artists. The exhibition, titled "Tutti Frutti," was displayed alongside a buffet of, well, fruit.
