Billed as the largest swimwear trade show in the world, SwimShow draws more than 3,000 global buyers and 2,500 labels in women’s, men’s, and children’s swimwear, resort wear, athleisure, and accessories to the Miami Beach Convention Center. It is the cornerstone of the informal Miami Swim Week and this year will bring back the Collection, a curated, interactive experience highlighting select brands. Next: July 13-16, 2019

2. Paraiso

Formally Funkshion Fashion Week, Paraiso is a reincarnation of Funkshion Productions’ resort, swim, fashion, and lifestyle shows during Miami Swim Week. It made its debut in 2018. In addition to runway presentations, programming includes workshops, panels, after-parties, and more. Events are held in and around Collins Park and backed by Mini Cooper. Next: July 11-14, 2019

4. Watches & Wonders

New to the list
Watches & Wonders Miami, presented by the Miami Design District Associates and the Fondation Haute Horlogerie, has quickly become a must-attend event for Miami’s fashionable set. The 2018 editions lured 28,000 attendees to the Miami Design District—a 40 percent increase from last year’s inaugural event. Partnerships with Miami Concours and the Miami Yacht Show, which is already a Presidents' Day Weekend event staple, likely gave it the boost. The three-day event features 30 of the world’s leading watch and jewelry makers, as well as education discussions and workshops. Next: February 2020
