The New York Philharmonic held its opening night gala last week at Avery Fisher Hall. After the performance, concertgoers scooted over to the Tent at Lincoln Center for a dinner-dance with food by Restaurant Associates and music from the Hank Lane Orchestra. Lighting by Bentley Meeker Lighting & Staging complemented the lavish d?cor by Charles Masson, which included terra cotta pots stuffed with roses, ferns and lavender suspended over the 90 tables. Under the pots were arrangements with lemons laid on foliage, which matched arrangements placed on the edge of the concert stage during the performance.
