If perfect sound is something that will be essential at your next event, check out the recently renovated West Bank Cafe. Sound designer Bernard Fox spared no detail when installing a digital matrix speaker system with 18 Bose surround speakers in the 2,500-square-foot downstairs theater, and a JBL ceiling speaker system in the 2,000-square-foot upstairs dining room. The sound system is so good that several cabaret performers have done live recordings in the space. The dining room, decorated with paintings by artist Tom Slaughter, can seat 90 for dinner or 180 for a cocktail reception, and the theater can accommodate 80 for a sit-down event.
