For the nationwide promotional tour of the new Xbox gaming console, Microsoft opted to create its own inflatable show dome. The portable venue is covered with artwork and a giant logo, holds 50 game stations, and uses two tractor-trailers as its base. Inflatable Image Technologies created the 106-by-35-foot dome out of fire-retardant fabric, Velcro, heavy-duty zippers, webbing and braided cord. Inflatable Image's structures inflate in less than an hour, and deflate into a compact form for travel. The domes have dual-wall technology to provide sound and temperature insulation. --Jill Musguire
