Cipriani's Kickback Controversy

After two and a half years of lighting the events at Cipriani 42nd Street, Bentley Meeker is no longer working for the venue. But there are few different opinions on the reason. Meeker told The New York Post's Page Six that the Ciprianis demanded he kick back 20 percent of his fees. But a Cipriani spokesman told the tab, "Absolutely not true. Bentley was let go. We weren't entirely satisfied with his work." Scharff Weisberg is now the exclusive audio, video and lighting company for the venue.
