After an $8 million renovation over the course of a year ("only the address is the same," says the marketing director), the space formerly known as Limelight has been reborn as Estate. Now co-owned by John Blair, who also owns XL, the space's interior was redesigned by Desgrippes Gobé to offer a wealth of new features. This includes three 15-person mirrored skyboxes that hover above the second floor mezzanine, another 50-person skybox above the DJ booth, and three V.I.P. lounges. A 50- by 50-foot stage is connected to dressing rooms and a backstage area. The entrance has been redone with underlit Lucite floor panels, and the property is now surrounded by 200 small fern trees, meant to create the feeling of an estate. —Suzanne Ito
