Now you can pack twice as many guests into Dylan's Candy Bar because the sugar mecca recently doubled the size of its downstairs private party room to 850 square feet. A recent birthday party for store founder Dylan Lauren showed off the store's special event capabilities. Guests could get strawberries, pretzels or peanut brittle dipped in chocolate at a fondue station, and an assortment of cookies, brownies, candies and other sweets (like Fruit Loop Rice Krispie treats) were displayed on tables topped with gumballs and covered with a clear plastic tablecloth. Candy cocktails, like yellow Lemonhead martinis and red martinis with Swedish Fish and savory hors d'oeuvres from Robbins-Wolfe were passed to guests. And guests even got to pose for photos with actors in Reese's Pieces and Hershey bar costumes. —Suzanne Ito
