(The music awards will be held at Madison Square Garden on November 15.) Tonight, back at Stone Rose, Skyy Vodka launches its Skyy90 brand at its Design With a Twist party to benefit Diffa. At the Shops at Columbus Circle in Time Warner Center is In Style’s Clothes We Love fashion show, followed by an after-party. And tonight at the New York State Theater, the New York City Opera opens the season with a benefit performance of Capriccio. At Bloomingdale’s, Elle magazine celebrates its 21st anniversary with a benefit casino night that includes a performance by Kanye West. Colorado Ski Country promotes the state’s ski resorts with a party at Ava Lounge.
Thursday, Siempre Mujer magazine launches with a party at LQ. And at the Hammerstein Ballroom, the World Cyber Games’ video game championship holds its U.S. finals; the games continue through Saturday.

Also Friday, the Rand/Workman Fine Motor Auction & Luxury Lifestyle Expo comes to Pier 92 of the Show Piers on the Hudson and Pier 94 through Sunday. Sunday morning is a memorial ceremony at the World Trade Center site, recognizing the anniversary of the September 11 attacks; the Tribute in Light display will illuminate the downtown sky at sundown. Also Sunday, the U.S. Open wraps up at the USTA National Tennis Center in Queens.
On Monday, Wal-Mart holds its first fashion show—called Dare to Be You—in association with ElleGirl and America’s Next Top Model at Times Square Studios. At the Javits Center, the All Asia and Comida Latina food shows arrive on Monday and continue through Tuesday. Also Tuesday, music marketers flock to B. B. King Blues Club & Grill for Adweek Magazines, Billboard, and the Alliance agency’s Music Upfront forum. Tuesday evening, the American Cancer Society’s Dream Ball benefit takes to the Waldorf-Astoria.
