Bar Boulud

While chef and restaurateur Daniel Boulud is busy with his latest project—a restaurant in Beijing called Maison Boulud—there are plans in the works for his most recent Manhattan eatery, Bar Boulud. According to The New York Post, the French restaurateur may be able to take over a space next door, which will be vacated by a Chase bank location. The article quotes the chef as saying, "We'll be able to expand Bar Boulud with a larger drinking area and another kitchen. It will give us a little breathing room without affecting the ambience of Bar Boulud."
A representative for Boulud confirmed that an expansion was always part of the plan, but as yet has little information on how it might affect the restaurant's lower level private rooms.
