Launched last September, Uncle Sam's New York offers daytime walking tours and pub tours at night, suiting visitors with an interest in history, or those who may just want to hit the town. Walking tours, which generally last two hours, cost $20 for adults, and groups can be accommodated with a minimum of 10 people. The company's guides have backgrounds in art, music, and city history, and lead crowds on trips to destinations like the theater district, financial district, and Greenwich Village. A Midtown and Times Square tour that includes a trip to the Empire State Building is $70 per adult.

Four-hour guided pub crawls are available in the East and West Villages, where visits may include stops at the famous Whitehorse Tavern or McSorley's, and Hell's Kitchen for $50 per person. For the right crowd, there is also a Chelsea nightclub tour, which costs $50 per person. Tours are accompanied by a professional photographer, and photos cost $7 each; or $15 for a photo pass, and the company can send five photos anywhere in the U.S.
