Where to go to entertain a business group while enjoying Atlantic City’s ocean views and local seafood.
1. For Sea-to-Table Fare
Opened in June last year, Fin is billed as the only seafood restaurant on the Boardwalk with outdoor, oceanfront seating. Serving locally grown food and wine, the eatery faces the beach and offers a 10-seat glass-enclosed private dining area dubbed the Captain’s Table.
2. A Dock-Side Spot
Overlooking the 640-slip Frank S. Farley Marina and the Atlantic Ocean from its perch north of the boardwalk, the Trump Marina Casino and Hotel has several seafood spots. Harborview, an intimate fine dining restaurant, was renovated and reopened in 2009. More casual groups can head to the Deck Bayfront Bar & Restaurant, an outdoor spot open from May to September.
3. For a Bite of Local History
Transformed from a men’s club to a steak and seafood restaurant in 1927, the Knife & Fork Inn was remodeled and reopened in 2005. Set inside a four-story Flemish-style building at the southern end of the city and divided into five distinct dining rooms, the eatery offers several areas for private events, some of which, like the 24-seat “Ladies” room, have ocean views.
4. A Modern-Day Aquarium
Although Michael Mina’s Seablue isn’t by the water, it does provide aquatic views via 10 LED screens playing videos of animated marine life. The four-yearold Adam Tihany-designed venue is a dramatic dining space marked by metal sculpture and a rich blue color scheme. For quiet tête-à -têtes, two salons—the Caspian and the Aegean—each seat 18 or can be combined for 40.
