1. ROYAL VISIT: Britain's Prince Harry has scheduled a spring trip to the United States that will include playing in the Sentebale Polo Cup in Greenwich, Connecticut. The prince has no plans to visit Las Vegas this time. Associated Press: "His May 9-15 visit will include trips to Arlington National Cemetery, Walter Reed National Medical Center, and an exhibition on Capitol Hill about land mine clearance, a favorite subject of his late mother, Princess Diana. He will also visit areas in New Jersey hard-hit by Hurricane Sandy." http://bit.ly/15L9UWh
2. NO-SHOWS SHAMED: Gawker: The Vietnamese restaurant Red Medicine in Los Angeles is fighting back against diners who skip their reservations by Twitter-shaming them. "After losing a bunch of 'prime tables' to no-shows on Saturday, owner/operator Noah Ellis took his frustration to Twitter, where he proceeded to tweet out the names of those who booked a table for rush hour, but never bothered to come or cancel." http://gaw.kr/ZU26Rr
3. SILENT SOCIAL MEDIA: To promote the Toronto Silent Film Festival, Cossette posted a series of images on Instagram that, when scrolled through quickly in the application's slideshow view, create a flip-book-like movie reminiscent of the old format. Adweek: http://bit.ly/10fF6Lz
4. UNUSUAL PIRACY CAMPAIGN: A Times Square billboard has become an unlikely place for a discussion of music piracy. A little-known Brooklyn band was given the high-profile real estate for two weeks from retailer American Eagle and has used it to ask people to tweet with the hashtag #artistsforpiracy or #artistsagainstpiracy. Advertising agency TBWAChiatDay New York did the project pro bono. New York Times: "Unauthorized file sharing still touches a nerve in the music industry. The campaign asks artists to make what can be a torturous choice: Is it better to charge for music and probably limit your audience, or embrace all the ways music can spread online, without permission or remuneration? … The ArtistsVsArtists site offers another choice, ostensibly about piracy: pay $5 to download a Ghost Beach EP from iTunes, or get it free from the band." http://nyti.ms/Xb7d12
