They say it took God seven days to create the world, but it only took Avi Adler two to make the globes of carnations featured at the launch party for Expedia Travels magazine. The red and white carnations were packed together so tightly that many guests had trouble identifying them without smelling or touching the spheres.
The dramatic decor pieces added to the buzz of being in a hot new venue, Ian Schrager's Hudson Hotel. Scott Currie of Susan Magrino Agency told us the firm booked the hotel's third floor meeting space (called Hudson) long in advance, because using a brand-new hotel would be a great fit for a travel-related client. The space has sheer white curtains covering the walls, and colorful lighting by One Dream Sound gave the party a slightly dreamy feel.
