A Clockwork Orange-Inspired Fash Bash

Out of a scene from A Clockwork Orange, fashion label Jil Sander's store opening party at the beginning of Fashion Week recreated the movie's dark and dramatic Korova Milk Bar. Designed and produced by Bureau Betak, the event used the dark-and-dirty East Village Pyramid Club as a backdrop (even though there's a real Korova Milk Bar knock-off down the street) and decorated it with provocative decor, including a naked mannequin fountain spewing "breast milk."
Milk Bar signage over the exterior door announced the bar's transformation for the night. Inside, House of Schwartz styled the props and placed white naked female mannequins with colorful wigs in dramatic positions throughout the all-black space, which Levy Lighting accented with sharp white lights. A table was created out of two mannequins arched backwards with a piece of glass joining them, and white curvy letters and words were added to the walls around them. Models dressed in Sander's clothes circulated throughout the night.
