Inspired by the large skylight at Sky Studios, Jeffrey Marcus of JMVisuals designed an enormous ornamental chandelier out of creamy white dendrobium orchids for a dinner produced by Relevent. Fifteen-foot strands of more than 600 orchids hung from a 12-foot-square grid.

For the Avon Foundation's 50th anniversary event at the American Museum of Natural History last October, H. DeVinn Visuals designed a modern take on candelabra. At the top of the theatrical pieces were candles floating inside glasses filled with water and wrapped with gold metallic paper—a reference to the anniversary.

This sturdy bowl made from different sizes of brass washers has an industrial, lacy look, and comes in seven, 18-, and 20-inch diameters. Available from Props for Today.
