Nestlé Nespresso debuted its Upper East Side sanctuary just in time for holiday shoppers to escape the windy New York City streets. For the shop’s grand opening, Nespresso and its Seattle-based PR team at Publicis Dialog worked with MKG Productions to erect an atrium outside the Madison Avenue storefront and fill it with nods to the store’s upscale take on espresso, giving the walls and floors special decorative treatment with the many colors of Nespresso’s tiny capsules. The elegant full-service espresso bar was staffed by coffee experts during the opening celebration. Guests (including Sopranos star and opportune coffee enthusiast Jamie Lynn Sigler) entered the atrium and could sample any beverage, made quickly and to their specifications. A second coffee bar in the main room kept traffic flowing throughout the evening. For partygoers who passed on coffee, bartenders at a full-service cocktail bar were willing to make any drink that guests could create.
Savor served warm comfort food on the cold night: The waitstaff passed homemade mushroom soup, mini grilled-cheese sandwiches, chicken hazelnut salad on endive, and cheese balls as the espresso machines whirred into action.

Nespresso's tented extension of its new boutique had a sleek interior with glossy floors and an espresso bar (of course).

Elements of the coffee brand could also be found underfoot—its capsules filled clear panels on the floor.

Ninety Nespresso dispensers filled with a multicolored selection of 1,980 capsules made for a unique—and brand-appropriate—wall installation.

Water ran down the back of a sheet of plexiglass with the espresso company's logo.
