The Historic House Trust of New York City is marking its 20th anniversary with a two-day festival this weekend—with a variety of activities at 22 historic properties in all five boroughs. Tours, concerts, workshops, and lectures are among the offerings, as well as events like the Queens County Fair at the Queens County Farm Museum and the Battle of Harlem Heights Remembered at the Morris-Jumel Mansion Museum.
Among the many sites with programming during the festival are: Gracie Mansion and the Dyckman Farmhouse Museum in Manhattan, the Van Cortlandt House Museum and the Bartow-Pell Mansion in the Bronx, the Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum and the Hendrick I. Lott House in Brooklyn (the latter is usually not open to the public), the King Manor Museum in Queens, and the Seguine Mansion on Staten Island (another location that is usually off-limits). The weekend is an opportunity to check out historical events, potential venues, or just enrich your knowledge of the city.
