The Manhattan Center, located in the heart of Midtown, is home to two of New York City’s most celebrated venues—the Hammerstein Ballroom and the Grand Ballroom. Spearheaded by director of sales and marketing Jessica Rothstein Berman, the venue was recently rebranded as Manhattan Center Events and received numerous upgrades, making it a premier destination for unforgettable events and extraordinary performances.
The building’s significant refresh includes renovations to the lobby and restrooms, allowing clients of both the Hammerstein and the Grand to experience the elegance and versatility. The installation of a L-Acoustics K2 system and custom lighting design add state-of-the-art technology that can accommodate galas, single presenters, or “A-list” performers. The Manhattan Center will continue to receive enhancements to appeal to event planners’ visions and needs. The company has also partnered with some of NYC’s top event suppliers in the areas of catering, furniture, and design. A new website, set to launch this summer, will feature a fresh and sophisticated look and provide a better online experience for prospective clients.
In February 2015, the Manhattan Center was one of the main venues for NBA All-Star weekend, which included televised events, parties, and concerts in the Hammerstein and the first-ever “NBA All-Star All-Style” fashion show in the Grand. Other recent events of note include the United Nations Women’s Celebration, America’s Got Talent auditions, We Are Family Foundation annual gala, Hulu Upfront Presentation, and TechCrunch Disrupt NY 2015. On May 21, Hammerstein Ballroom will host NBC’s “Red Nose Day USA Live” benefit.
“We are looking forward to the future and will be the venue of choice for social and corporate events in New York City,” said Markus Karr, President of The Manhattan Center. “We are one of the largest venues in one of the largest cities in the world that can host the most lavish events, the classiest of galas, and the best in concerts.”
