Here's a closer look at Seattle's newest eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms, and other spaces available for events this spring. The new and renovated Seattle-area venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings, and more.
1 Hotel Seattle

Sustainability-focused luxury hotelier 1 Hotels' upcoming Seattle outpost is slated to open in April in the city's South Lake Union neighborhood. The brand is known for creating urban retreats inspired by nature and 1 Hotel Seattle is no different: A living wall of greenery sets the tone in the lobby at the new 153-room hotel. The lobby is also decorated with a fireplace decorated with tiles from a local ceramicist, with a lushly landscaped outdoor terrace located adjacent to the lobby. The serene guest rooms including 45 suites feature biophilic touches like moss-inspired art installations and reclaimed wood finishes. 1 Hotel Seattle's second floor offers six private indoor event spaces, including the 1,766-square-foot Rainier Ballroom, which includes floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of the Space Needle. The ballroom can accommodate up to 120 guests for receptions or 112 seated in banquet-style rounds. The other event spaces feature plenty of natural light: There's the 412-square-foot Elliott space and 406-square-foot Nootka space that can each accommodate 30 for a reception or 20 seated in banquet-style rounds. The 669-square-foot Cascade can accommodate up to 50 for receptions or 40 for banquet-style rounds, while the 439-square-foot Stellar's Jay space can accommodate up to 31 for receptions or 24 for banquet-style rounds. The 949-square-foot Terrace can host 64 guests in an outdoor space featuring park views and unobstructed vistas of the Space Needle. Sustainable and wellness amenities range from personal training sessions at the well-outfitted gym to rides in a fleet of fully electric Audis to a hike arranged via the hotel's concierge team.

Stone Way Auto can accommodate up to 325 standing guests for cocktail receptions or up to 150 seated guests for seated dining and theater-style events. The light-filled space is decorated with colorful murals and contemporary furniture to offset the industrial elements, like garage-style concrete floors and exposed steel. U Wine Bar

In January, U Wine Bar opened in Wallingford with a dual focus on both wine and board games. At U Wine Bar, board games are arranged on shelves next to bottles of Bordeaux and Sauvignon Blanc. Decorated with modern decor, the space offers plenty of room for gamers to spread out, with nine tables and a bar to congregate at for pours of international and locally-sourced wines—with nonalcoholic options and chocolate and snacks available as well. The venue is available for private events and full buyouts, with a maximum capacity of 80 guests for events; 60 of whom can be seated at one time.
