

The Toronto Sneakeasy took place at a surprise location on March 25. Guests who won a golden ticket from Nike's branded Air Max Bus were instructed to show up to an unoccupied warehouse in Chinatown. Director X curated the experience, which featured interactive displays by six local artists inspired by Air Max silhouettes and milestones from the past 30 years.

The Los Angeles activation took place March 25 to 26 at a surprise location on La Brea Avenue. A giant screen showcased the new VaporMax shoes.

For the inaugural Medair New York gala, held on March 30 at Stephen Weiss Studio in New York, HL Group Events highlighted the nonprofit's global efforts by using materials and supplies found in the field such as steel, wooden pallets, and buckets throughout the design, including the stage.

Floral centerpieces studded with proteas in muted hues were displayed using similar industrial materials.



The late-night Neon Carnival returned to a regional airport in Thermal, California, on April 15 for the eighth consecutive year. Conceived by event producer Brent Bolthouse, the carnival brought new games and amusement-park rides. Tinder paired guests with a match for a bumper-car ride.

The event included its signature Ferris wheel as well as an enormous checkered dance floor.

Tequila Don Julio poured specialty drinks from inside an Airstream.

The venue’s central lagoon featured a custom marquee surrounded on all sides by large-scale candies that appeared to float above.

A tent provided shade and comfortable seating for guests on the sprawling property.

At the Revolve Festival, held at the Merv Griffin Estate in Indio, am enormous, eye-catching floral tunnel created a photo op and entry point.

A tent activation for sponsor HomeAway was meant to evoke the comfy, residential feel of the rental booking site's properties at the Lucky Lounge, produced by BMF Media.

At Lucky Lounge Presents: Desert Jam at the Ingleside Inn in Palm Springs, produced by BMF Media, an eye-catching three-dimensional press wall included such all-American items as a flag and denim—placed in front of the mountain and palm tree natural backdrop.

Also at the Revolve Festival, open signage bearing the brand's name evoked a look similar to the iconic Hollywood Sign. The mirrored look also recalled Doug Aitken's "Mirage" art installation, currently on view in Palm Springs as part of the limited-time Desert X installation.

At Pandora’s fourth annual Indio Invasion, a three-dimensional press wall included graphic logos and shelving bearing desert-appropriate succulents.

At the first Coachella party created as a family-friendly environment, the members group Fashion Mamas hosted a pool party where a balloon centerpiece behind the pool served as a photo backdrop.



Propel Electrolyte Water hosted a preview event for its new cross-country workout series on April 12 at Spring Studios in New York. Fitness-theme vignettes were constructed in the after-party space.

Air Canada Foundation and SickKids Foundation's second annual Wanderluxe fund-raising gala took place April 6 at 1 Yonge Street in Toronto. Designed by McNabb Roick Events, the travel-theme event featured globes as centerpieces.









W Hotels Worldwide debuted its first W Sound Suite in North America in April at the W Seattle hotel. The soundproof music-studio-inspired suite, designed by Josh Held Design, serves as an actual recording studio for musicians and is complete with a writers' room and lounge. The suite, which is also available for hotel guests, features studio technology including an all-in-one DJ system, headphones and microphones, a Maschine production system, and a control keyboard, all curated by DJ White Shadow. Design elements also are inspired by Coca-Cola, which is the W brand's global partner. The 580-square-foot suite accommodates as many as 25 people standing.

Andaz West Hollywood recently unveiled a suite in partnership with Red, the AIDS organization founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver. Designed by Red supporter Jonathan Adler, the 800-square-foot suite, which sleeps two, features a rock 'n' roll-meets-chic glamor aesthetic, along with a custom mural created by artist Kelsey Montague. Thirty percent of every booking benefits the organization's mission to end AIDS.

Jewel Nightclub at Aria Resort & Casino, a Las Vegas nightclub from the Hakkasan Group, is a 24,000-square-foot dual-level venue that features a main club and a mezzanine level that offers five themed V.I.P. suites. The G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) Suite features brick walls decorated with sports memorabilia and artistic interpretations of iconic moments in sports history.




The annual Joffrey Bala Spring Gala took place April 21 at Roosevelt University and the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. In the latter venue's Red Lacquer room, David Beahm Experiences installed a bar backdrop of frames decorated with bouquets of various flowers. Frost provided lighting at the event.
