Software company Tableau held its annual data- and analytics-focused conference at Hyatt Regency New Orleans in October. The event's catering played off the idea of the New Orleans' tradition of a Cajun shrimp boil, with elements that included nets and a boat filled with beer. The conference was catered by the hotel’s off-premise catering arm 1718 Catering & Events. 

One truck reflected the show's theme of love with red balloons, framed pictures, and a stylish couch. A neon heart sign tied the space together. 

Philanthropists Gabriel and Christine Chiu held a Chinese New Year-theme benefit on February 19 at Two Rodeo in Beverly Hills. The event, which was designed by Aliana Events, was marked with a re-creation of the entrance to Chinatown in Los Angeles, branded with the Chiu name.
