For the rollout of Fantasy, its new Britney Spears-branded fragrance, Elizabeth Arden found inspiration in the name of the product itself. Darline Chalmer, the company's head of public relations, worked with Florida-based Dazzle Creative Event Producers to transform the main floor of Lucid nightclub into a fairy-tale setting.
Tropical greenery and flowers from Patty's Flowers were generously distributed throughout the venue to create the illusion of an enchanted forest. Models in pixie outfits further supported the whimsical story line.
Lunch was supplied by Catered Affare Cuisine and Event Design. Chair-man Mills decorated the dining area with vibrant pink linens and lime green accents. Each place setting featured a martini glass filled with bread and individual servings of black olive tapenade and hummus. The main course was black-and-white-sesame-encrusted chicken with julienne peppers, grilled shiitake mushrooms, and bok choy. Vegetarians could opt for marinated tofu steak. Delectable grilled pineapple, peach, and bananas in a spun-sugar basket with fresh mint and pecan praline was served for dessert.
As the guests departed, each was given a sample of the fragrance in a plastic purse with metal frame and handles.
