This month, Paper Fetish Design Studio began offering Zen rock place cards, available in two- or three-inch diameter, in polished black or natural sand hues. Names are painted on the rocks in coordinating colors—gold or silver ink for the black rocks and brown, taupe, or black for the sand ones. They do double duty as table decor and a novel takeaway. They're sold in batches of 25, and the minimum order is 50, which costs $120 plus shipping (personalization is included in the fee). The company requests two to three weeks' notice to complete an order, but faster turnaround is possible for an additional fee.
