To play up just how awry such layouts can go, event software company Social Tables held a tongue-in-cheek poll that asked planners to share their nightmare seating pairs. The most popular response? “Who sat Jerry next to Newman?”
Open from March 19 through April 30 and garnering 154 responses, the BizBash-sponsored survey saw a wide range of hypothetically catastrophic combinations, including Lindsay Lohan with a steering wheel, Kanye West with Taylor Swift, and Matthew McConaughey with a shirt.
